Pre-inspection report with deficiencies by category

This is the rehearsal, not the examination. We inspect against the criteria the USCG or the regional Port State Control regime will apply, concentrating on the deficiency categories that carry detention — so the finding is an item on our list rather than an entry on theirs.

In scope

  • Pre-inspection against the applicable USCG or Port State Control examination criteria.
  • Review of the vessel's detention and deficiency history, and of the regime's current campaign priorities.
  • Verification of the certificate position and of the drills and records the examiner will call for.
  • Deficiencies recorded by category, flagging those that carry detention risk.

Not in scope

  • Any representation to the USCG or to a Port State authority.
  • Rectification of the deficiencies found.
  • Any guarantee against detention.

Declared so the conversation happens before the campaign, not in the middle of it.

What drives the effort

These move the size of the campaign. None of them moves the standard it is measured against.

These drive effort, not price. Pricing is quoted after the specification call, together with the documents we will need from you.
