CAM, TAM and ASOG documents

Production or revision of the operational state documents, derived from the FMEA and the trials. These are the documents that translate an engineering analysis into an instruction the bridge can act on at three in the morning.

In scope

  • Production or revision of the Critical Activity Mode, the Task Appropriate Mode and the Activity Specific Operating Guidelines.
  • Derivation of each operational state from the worst case failure the FMEA established and the trials confirmed.
  • Definition of the advisory, warning and emergency thresholds, with the action required at each.
  • Publication of the operational states to the ApixDP Suite, where the vessel is monitored continuously.

Not in scope

  • Production of these documents without a current FMEA and proving trials. See the prerequisite note below — this is a hard limit, not a preference.
  • Training of the bridge team on the resulting documents, and the delta training each revision requires before it takes effect. Both are bought as Continuous Professional Development.
  • Capability plots, which these documents consume rather than produce.

Declared so the conversation happens before the campaign, not in the middle of it.

Deliverables

What you receive

  1. Critical Activity Mode (CAM).
  2. Task Appropriate Mode (TAM).
  3. Activity Specific Operating Guidelines (ASOG).
  4. Publication of the operational states to the ApixDP Suite.
  5. Detailed Service Report.

What drives the effort

These move the size of the campaign. None of them moves the standard it is measured against.

These drive effort, not price. Pricing is quoted after the specification call, together with the documents we will need from you.

This scope is not sellable in isolation without a current FMEA. IMCA M 166 §2.7 is explicit: the ASOG depends on the FMEA and the proving trials to identify post-failure capability correctly and to name the failures that require the DP operation to be suspended. An ASOG written without them is a document that reads correct and is not.
